About Laurent Miquel
Wine has occupied the Miquel family in Languedoc since 1791, and Laurent represents its eighth generation. Trained as an engineer, he returned to the family estate with his Irish wife, Neasa. The family planted Viognier in 1992.
North-to-south vine rows temper the midday sun, while night harvesting brings fruit to the cellar cool and helps preserve freshness. The vineyards hold France's HVE environmental certification, and work at Château Auzines protects wild habitat and captures winter rainfall for the dry months.
