Ardbeg Anthology 14 Year Old The Unicorn’s Tale Single Malt Scotch Whisky

$299.99

Rich and aromatic, with baked banana bread, treacle and sponge pudding opening into cedar smoke, tropical fruit and eucalyptus. The palate shifts toward lime and sweet peach, followed by smoked fruit, baked bread, aniseed and a firm thread of peat. Soft malt and nutmeg add balance. The finish is long and smoky, leaving menthol, clove, camphor and seasoned wood.

About Ardbeg Distillery
John Macdougall licensed Ardbeg in 1815 on Islay's rocky southern coast. Production stopped in 1981, resumed on a small scale in 1989 and closed again in 1991, before the Glenmorangie Company bought the distillery and restored full-time production in 1997. Ardbeg uses peated malt and water from Loch Uigeadail, with fermentation in Oregon pine vats followed by copper-pot distillation. A purifier returns heavier vapours to the spirit still for redistillation, helping bring fruit and floral notes alongside the smoke. Bourbon casks form the foundation of maturation, with other types also used across the range.
