The palate is delicate and sweet, layering fruitcake, marzipan and butterscotch over clove and gentle oak spice. French-oak finishing gives the malt extra warmth without overwhelming its fruit. The finish is fresh and composed, leaving baked apple, cream, pie crust and a quiet peppery note.
