Medium-deep garnet in colour, with blackberry, cherry and cracked pepper joined by earth, vanilla and warm spice. The palate is medium-bodied and generous, balancing ripe dark fruit with an herbal black-currant note and measured acidity. Supple tannins keep the blend approachable, while pepper and savoury spice carry a smooth, well-shaped finish.

About Le Vieux Pin
Le Vieux Pin’s first vintage was 2005, from its Oliver estate on the Black Sage Bench. Named for the solitary old pine on the property, the winery draws on French wine traditions and South Okanagan fruit.
Séverine Pinte joined in 2010 and now serves as winemaker, viticulturist and managing partner. Her work combines low-input vineyard farming with a non-interventionist approach in the cellar. Syrah and white Rhône varieties are central to the wines.
