About Orma
The Moretti Cuseri family established Orma at Bolgheri on the Tuscan coast in 2004. Antonio Moretti Cuseri developed the project with his sons Alberto and Amedeo, choosing a site along the Via Bolgherese wine road. Its 7.5 hectares lie on clay-and-gravel soils, inland from the sandier ground closer to the sea.
The estate’s first wine, also called Orma, debuted with the 2005 vintage, blending Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. For this wine, the varieties are picked separately by hand and blended at different stages of winemaking.
