Eucalyptus and pine needles lead a distinctive, savoury nose, with the blend’s delicate fruit kept light and lifted. The palate is sharp, fresh and finely drawn, showing restraint rather than weight. Caiño, Espadeiro and Mencia give it an Atlantic edge, with herbal detail and bright acidity carrying the finish. Serve lightly cool with grilled sardines, charred vegetables, pork or mushroom dishes.

About Albamar
Albamar grew from a family cellar in Castrelo, near Cambados, where Xurxo Alba Padín took the lead in 2006. Its name joins the Alba family name with the sea. Its small O Salnés parcels lie near the Umia estuary and Ría de Arousa, on sandy and clay-rich ground under Atlantic influence.
Albariño is central to the winery; its flagship white ferments spontaneously and ages on fine lees. Xurxo also works with Mencía, Caíño and Espadeiro, making red, rosé and blanc-de-noirs wines.
