Deeply coloured and expressive, with blackberry compote, ripe plum and dark cherry layered with violet, rose, mocha, clove and licorice. The palate is concentrated and racy, supported by firm, chewy tannins and a fresh line of acidity. Herbal and resinous notes bring lift to the rich fruit, leading to a bold, persistent finish.

About Podere San Cristoforo
Podere San Cristoforo is Lorenzo Zonin’s estate near Gavorrano in coastal Maremma, Tuscany. The estate has deep gravelly soils, cork oaks and olive trees, with sea breezes moderating the climate. Organic and biodynamic farming includes compost preparations and careful soil and canopy work, without synthetic herbicides or fertilizers. Low yields, night harvesting, hand sorting and fermentation with native yeasts guide the work from vineyard to cellar.
