Clean and pure, with red berries, violet and alpine herbs carried by a cool mineral line. The palate is light on its feet yet firmly shaped, bringing fresh fruit, peppery spice and fine tannins into balance. Energetic rather than heavy, it closes savoury, stony and precise, with distinctly mountain-bred freshness.

About Barbacàn
Barbacàn is the Sega family’s winery in San Giacomo di Teglio, in Valtellina, where Angelo works with his sons Luca and Matteo. Chiavennasca—the local name for Nebbiolo—anchors the vineyards alongside old regional varieties preserved in mixed plantings. The wines undergo spontaneous fermentation and mature in neutral vessels.
