Volnay
Domaine Poulleau 2023 Volnay Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir comes from a 0.76-hectare Volnay site with limestone and brown-silt soils. The vines average fifty years of age, and the fruit is picked by hand. Maturation lasts one year in oak casks, including twenty percent new casks. Wild cherry, raspberry, rose petals, spice and forest-floor notes accompany supple fruit and silken tannins.
Domaine Roblet-Monnot 2011 Volnay 1er Cru Santenots
Graceful and mature, with raspberry, red cherry and a delicate floral note emerging from a deep, complex nose. The palate is broad, supple and fresh, combining fine purity with gentle richness and a softly textured frame. Layers of red fruit carry through a long, composed finish. Pair with duck, roast chicken or mushroom dishes.
Georges Glantenay 2022 Volnay Vieilles Vignes
Beautifully perfumed, with lifted red fruit and fine floral detail. The palate brings extra density without heaviness, driven by vibrant freshness, energy and striking intensity. Fine tannins provide quiet shape beneath the fruit, while the finish remains poised and persistent. Expressive now, it also has the balance and depth to age gracefully.
Glantenay 2021 Volnay
A delicate Volnay with bright ruby colour and aromas of violet, redcurrant and cherry. The palate is concentrated yet nuanced, allowing the fruit and floral character to stay clear while subtle savoury complexity begins to emerge. With time it can develop notes of spice, game and cooked plum; serve with duck, roast poultry, mushrooms or salmon.
Georges Glantenay 2018 Volnay 1er Cru Les Santenots
Broad and inviting on the nose, with layered red fruit and a subtle mineral undertone. The palate is rounded yet finely structured, combining generous fruit with a cool, steely line and mouth-watering freshness. Firm but polished tannins frame the wine, leading to a powerful, composed finish without hard edges.
Pierrick Bouley 2018 Volnay 1er Cru Santenots
Deeply coloured, with lifted high tones and striking aromatic intensity. The palate is broad and structured, its fine-grained tannins adding shape with almost no dryness. Layered, mobile fruit brings energy and dimension, while a slightly cushioned texture softens the wine’s fresh lines. Powerful yet poised, with an excellent, persistent finish.
