Franz Strohmeier 2019 Sonne Nº8 Sauvignon Blanc

Austrian White
$79.99

Sauvignon Blanc grows at Bad Gams on a steep slope with gneiss soil. The producer works eight hectares and explores natural vineyard methods, including trials with whey in place of conventional copper sulphate. The wine is classified as orange.

Andreas Tscheppe 2018 Blaue Libelle Sauvignon Blanc

Austrian White
$105.99

Grapefruit and ripe peach lead, with ginger, almond and a smoky, stony mineral note adding depth. The palate is dry, textured and focused, shaped by extended lees ageing and a measured touch of oak. Fresh yet layered through the persistent finish, it suits grilled fish, roast vegetables, soft cheeses or herb-led dishes.
