Sweet black currant and juicy blackberry appear with shaved chocolate and tobacco. Toasty oak and silky tannins accompany a lingering finish. The blend is eighty-five percent Cabernet Sauvignon, nine percent Merlot and six percent Petite Sirah. It spends twelve months in French oak and carries 14.5 percent alcohol. Production totalled eighty-five thousand cases from Napa County fruit.
