Columbia Valley, Washington

Blackberry, Lapin cherry, cassis, cedar and vanilla define the profile, with full tannins and a long finish. The blend combines sixty-two percent Cabernet Sauvignon, twenty-two percent Merlot, eight percent Malbec and eight percent Cabernet Franc. Fruit came from Red Mountain in Columbia Valley. Individual lots were cold-soaked and fermented before eight months in French and American oak.

Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre form a forty-three, thirty-five and twenty-two percent blend. Red and black raspberry, plum, herb and spice appear in the profile. Lively fruit flavours and a lingering finish are also present. The wine is red, dry and full-bodied, with blackberry, smoked herbs and liquorice also present. The texture is mouth-filling. Alcohol is fifteen-and-a-half percent.

Blackberry, dark plum and crème de cassis appear with graphite, violets, herbs, sweet spices and mocha. Dark ruby colour has a deep core and purple reflections. The palate is full-bodied, concentrated and fresh, with a round, polished texture and layered dark fruit. This Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is listed at 14.8 percent alcohol. A cork closes the bottle.

Blackberry and blueberry lead this deep-coloured red, with gentle oak spice framing the fruit. The palate is soft and smooth, its Merlot core broadened by darker berry depth and a measured line of tannin. Generous without feeling heavy, it closes cleanly and lingers with polished fruit, warmth and easy balance.
