About Marchesi Antinori
Marchesi Antinori traces its wine business to 1385, when Giovanni di Piero Antinori entered Florence’s Winemakers’ Guild. Twenty-six generations later, the family company is guided by sisters Albiera, Allegra and Alessia Antinori, continuing a long habit of pairing tradition with experimentation. Solaia and Tignanello come from Tenuta Tignanello in Chianti Classico, set between the Greve and Pesa valleys on limestone- and marl-rich hillsides. Its two namesake vineyards give the estate its signature wines, with Sangiovese joined by Cabernet varieties in a distinctly modern Tuscan frame.
