Elegant and medium-bodied, with bright red currant, cassis and cherry set against cedar, tobacco, forest leaf and gentle spice. The palate is fresh and softly textured, carrying red fruit, herbs and a measured savoury complexity through a poised finish. Stand the bottle upright, decant only as needed for sediment, and serve slightly cool with lamb, duck or mushroom dishes.

About Château Lafite Rothschild
Château Lafite Rothschild was documented as a wine-producing property by 1234 and was ranked a First Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux classification. Baron James de Rothschild acquired the Pauillac estate in 1868, beginning more than 150 years of stewardship by successive family generations. Saskia de Rothschild became chairwoman of Domaines Barons de Rothschild in 2018, representing the sixth generation. The vineyard’s gravel and clay regulate water around a subtle rise known historically as La Hite, while the grand vin is matured in French oak made by the group’s own Pauillac cooperage.
