About La Spinetta
Giuseppe and Lidia Rivetti established the family’s modern wine activity in Piedmont, and their children later developed La Spinetta as an estate-bottling producer. The family released a single-vineyard Moscato in 1977, then expanded into red wines as the next generation reshaped the portfolio. Barbaresco entered the programme in the 1990s, followed by Barolo and a separate Tuscan project acquired in 2001.
The Rivetti siblings’ work spans more than one estate, so Piedmont and Tuscany remain distinct geographic chapters rather than one generic origin. Nebbiolo, Barbera and Moscato are central in Piedmont, while the Tuscan holdings support separate Sangiovese-based wines. La Spinetta now connects its Barbaresco and Barolo vineyards with the Rivetti family's later work in Tuscany.
