A savoury southern Italian red with red cherry, orange peel and scrubby herbs, joined by baking spice and a deeper kirsch note. The palate is firm and energetic, with bright red fruit and a dry, structured shape. Its combination of warmth and freshness works well with tomato-based pasta, grilled sausage, roast peppers or aged cheese.

About Antonio Scala
The Scala family is one of Calabria’s finest estates. The domaine has been in the Scala family since 1949. Today it is run by Luigi and Francesco Scala who focus entirely on organically grown, indigenous varieties. They have 18 hectares in the Cirò DOC dedicated to Gaglioppo, Greco and Magliocco.
