Deep ruby moving toward garnet at the rim, with a concentrated nose of ripe blackberry, blackcurrant and cherry, layered with licorice, graphite and a restrained balsamic note. Full and assured on the palate, it balances generous dark fruit with fine, rounded tannins. The finish is long, polished and distinctly fruit-led.

About Velenosi
Angela and Ercole Velenosi founded their winery in Ascoli Piceno in 1984, building it without an inherited family wine estate. Angela now works alongside the next generation, Matteo and Marianna Velenosi.
The vineyards extend from the clay-rich Tronto hills around Ascoli Piceno to Ancarano in Abruzzo and San Marcello in the Marche. Montepulciano, Pecorino and Lacrima are among the regional grapes at the heart of the range.
