Chaberton Estate Winery 2023 Barrel Aged Chardonnay

Jasmine, underripe pineapple and honeyed stone fruit sit with integrated oak and crisp acidity. The Chardonnay comes from the Okanagan Valley and carries fourteen percent alcohol. It is lightly oaked, with ten months of ageing, and the wine is vegan. Citrus, popcorn and toasted brioche also appear alongside vanilla and coconut. The style is dry.

About Chaberton Estate Winery
Chaberton began with Claude and Inge Violet’s search for a new home for winemaking after they sold their French vineyard and winery in 1975. They settled in South Langley, tried different grape varieties and planted the vineyard in earnest in the mid-1980s. Chaberton’s first wine followed in 1991. Today, the winery uses fruit from its Fraser Valley estate alongside grapes from the Okanagan and Similkameen valleys.
