Racines 2019 Sanford & Benedict Vineyard Pinot Noir

$194.99

Red currant, crushed strawberry and rose petal rise over forest floor, subtle spice and flinty minerality. The palate is elegant yet structured, with silky tannins and vibrant acidity carrying sour cherry, blood orange and savoury herbs. Tension and salinity keep the fruit precise, and the finish is long, detailed and composed. Serve with roast duck, wild mushroom risotto or seared tuna with soy and ginger.

About Racines
Racines grew from a 2016 search by Burgundy’s Étienne de Montille and winemaker Brian Sieve for a California site suited to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. They settled on the cool, ocean-influenced Santa Rita Hills. Champagne grower Rodolphe Péters joined them to develop traditional-method sparkling wines alongside the still wines. The range draws on a small group of Santa Rita Hills vineyards for regional blends and limited single-vineyard bottlings.
