Blackcurrant and dark cherry are layered with tobacco, earth, mint and a measured touch of vanilla. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated, with Sangiovese bringing sour-cherry lift and fresh acidity to the Cabernet-led structure. Firm tannins remain composed through a long, savoury finish, with coffee and warm spice emerging in the glass. Decant carefully and serve with roast beef, lamb or aged Pecorino.

About Marchesi Antinori
Marchesi Antinori traces its wine business to 1385, when Giovanni di Piero Antinori entered Florence’s Winemakers’ Guild. Twenty-six generations later, the family company is guided by sisters Albiera, Allegra and Alessia Antinori, continuing a long habit of pairing tradition with experimentation. For the catalogue’s Solaia and Tignanello wines, the central place is Tenuta Tignanello in Chianti Classico, set between the Greve and Pesa valleys on limestone- and marl-rich hillsides. Its two namesake vineyards give the estate its signature wines, with Sangiovese joined by Cabernet varieties in a distinctly modern Tuscan frame.
