Juicy red fruit and sweet vanilla open with blackberry, dark plum and a touch of warm spice. Rich and well balanced on the palate, it carries generous fruit over soft tannins and a clean structural line. The long finish remains composed rather than heavy. Serve with grilled steak, braised pork, roast squash or a savoury mushroom tart.

About Poplar Grove Winery
Founded in 1993, Poplar Grove was one of the first five wineries established on the Naramata Bench. Merlot and Cabernet Franc formed the first plantings, and the 1995 debut vintage amounted to just 150 cases. Tony and Barb Holler purchased the winery in 2007; today their four sons share responsibilities across the vineyards and business.
The family farms vineyards on the Naramata and Skaha benches and around Osoyoos, matching varieties to different sites. Its Middle Bench winery opened in 2011.
