About Maverick Estate Winery
Maverick Estate Winery began in 2009 with the purchase of its South Okanagan acreage, releasing its first wines from the 2011 vintage. Its estate vineyard lies on the warm, east-facing Golden Mile Slopes, while Crux Vineyard sits higher on the valley’s western ridge.
Gravelly soils, hot summer days and cool harvest nights characterize the growing conditions. Farming follows organic and biodynamic principles, and the cellar uses natural fermentation with minimal intervention.
