Sweet malt and juicy orange lead the nose, followed by raisins, waxy chocolate and ripe banana. The palate is creamy and generous, with vanilla, butter and toffee framed by lively oak spice and a deeper nutty sherry note. Maturation in bourbon and sherry casks gives the whisky both freshness and rounded fruit, keeping its richness well balanced. The finish is warming and persistent, carrying apricot, cocoa, toasted almond and gentle spice. Serve neat or add a little water.
