Blackcurrant, blackberry and black cherry lead a deep, finely layered bouquet. Violet and wild Mediterranean herbs add lift, while tobacco, liquorice and roasted coffee bring savoury polish. The palate is intense yet graceful, with concentrated dark fruit carried by silky tannins and bright freshness. Long and composed, it closes with cocoa, cedar and a persistent saline mineral note.

About Marchesi Antinori
Marchesi Antinori traces its wine business to 1385, when Giovanni di Piero Antinori entered Florence’s Winemakers’ Guild. Twenty-six generations later, the family company is guided by sisters Albiera, Allegra and Alessia Antinori, continuing a long habit of pairing tradition with experimentation. For the catalogue’s Solaia and Tignanello wines, the central place is Tenuta Tignanello in Chianti Classico, set between the Greve and Pesa valleys on limestone- and marl-rich hillsides. Its two namesake vineyards give the estate its signature wines, with Sangiovese joined by Cabernet varieties in a distinctly modern Tuscan frame.
