Black cherry, raspberry and blackberry lead a deep, generous profile, with violet, sweet oak, espresso, licorice and vanilla in support. The palate is full-bodied and dense, layering black raspberry and plum over roasted herbs and a silky, velvety texture. Rich but balanced, it suits ribeye, lamb, grilled vegetables or firm aged cheeses.

About Mendel Wines
Mendel Wines began in 2002 as a partnership between Anabelle Sielecki and winemaker Roberto de la Mota, bringing her family's historic Mendoza vineyard together with his long cellar experience. Sielecki named the estate for her father, Mendel, while the family's original Malbec parcel at Mayor Drummond in Luján de Cuyo dates to 1928.
De la Mota is a second-generation Argentine winemaker who studied at the National University of Cuyo and in Montpellier. The vineyards extend from old vines in Luján de Cuyo to the higher, stony soils of Paraje Altamira in the Uco Valley.
