Rich and concentrated, with caramel, vanilla and dried fruit opening into peppery spice and polished oak. The palate has a generous, controlled intensity, balancing sweet malt character with grain whisky structure and a warm, persistent finish. More than a hundred malt and grain components are blended, then rested together to integrate their depth and texture. Despite the compact presentation, the style is broad and complex. Serve neat, over a large cube or with a measured splash of water.

About Nikka Whisky
Nikka Whisky was founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, whose study and distillery training in Scotland informed his ambition to make whisky in Japan. He chose Yoichi in Hokkaido for the first distillery, favouring its cool climate, clean water and coastal setting. Miyagikyo, the second distillery, opened in 1969, adding a softer, more floral malt style for blending.
Coffey stills introduced in the 1960s remain part of Nikka’s production, which extends from malt and blended whisky to gin and vodka.
