Léoville Barton 2012 Saint-Julien

$159.99

Blackcurrant, black cherry and dark plum lead, with cedar, graphite and tobacco adding classic Saint-Julien detail. The palate is full and firmly structured, its Cabernet-driven fruit supported by fine tannins and fresh acidity. Violet, earth and gentle spice emerge with air, followed by a long, dry and savoury finish.

About Château Léoville Barton
Hugh Barton bought a quarter of the former Léoville vineyard in 1826, creating Château Léoville Barton as a Saint-Julien estate whose wine is made at neighbouring Château Langoa Barton. The property was ranked a Second Growth in Bordeaux’s 1855 classification. It remains with the Barton family, with Lilian Barton Sartorius and her children Mélanie and Damien carrying the estate into its tenth generation. Cabernet Sauvignon leads the gravel-grown blend, harvested by hand and vinified parcel by parcel in wooden vats before French-oak ageing.
