Benromach 15 Year Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
$154.99
Sweet toffee and orchard fruit open the nose, followed by cracked black pepper and a measured thread of peat smoke. The palate brings apples and forest berries together with dark chocolate, rich sherry and charred oak. Maturation in first-fill sherry and bourbon casks gives the whisky depth without obscuring its fruit, while the smoke remains restrained and savoury. The finish is long and composed, carrying cocoa, pepper, oak and soft smoke. Serve neat or add a small amount of water.

About Benromach
Benromach was built at Forres in Speyside in 1898, and its history has included repeated closures. The Urquhart family’s Gordon & MacPhail bought the silent distillery in 1993, restored it and reopened it in 1998; it remains family-owned.
Its lightly smoky Speyside style begins with Scottish barley malted with a little peat smoke. Fermentation uses both brewer’s and distiller’s yeast, and the team operates two copper stills by hand. Maturation centres on first-fill casks seasoned with bourbon or sherry.
