Lightfoot & Wolfville 2024 Fauna Red

Juicy plum and dark raspberry meet herbaceous notes and tart cassis. The palate is soft, with very light tannins and a saline finish. Léon Millot, Petite Pearl and Marquette make up the blend. Part of the fruit undergoes carbonic fermentation before a brief rest in stainless steel. Serve with a light chill alongside sausages or charcuterie.

About Lightfoot & Wolfville Vineyards
Lightfoot & Wolfville is a family-owned estate winery on the edge of Wolfville in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley. Co-founders Jocelyn and Michael Lightfoot began planting vines in 2009 after an extensive study of the land, releasing their first wines under the estate name in 2015. Michael is a seventh-generation Annapolis Valley farmer and the third generation to work the property on which the winery now stands.
Its 40 acres of vines are divided between the Lightfoot Home Farm and Oak Island Vineyard at Avonport, two sites influenced by the immense tides and saltwater breezes of the Minas Basin. The estate is certified organic by Ecocert and biodynamic by Demeter. Winemaking follows a minimal-intervention approach.
