About Zapiain
Zapiain’s roots in Astigarraga reach back to a 1542 record linking the family property with apple growing. In the 1960s, Nicolás Rosario Zapiain turned the farm’s focus towards Basque cider.
At its cider house on Kale Nagusia, cider is drawn from the cask and served with a traditional meal. The cidery installed temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks in 2001.
