Weingut Malat 2020 RAW Gelber Muskateller Orange Wine

Cloudy orange in colour, the wine combines ripe peach, apricot, grapefruit, white flowers, smoke and nutmeg. It is dry and piquant, with crisp acidity, tart yellow fruit and a creamy, yeasty texture. Gelber Muskateller is fermented on its skins, matured for six months in large old wooden casks and bottled unfiltered, with no sulphur added. Alcohol is ten percent.

About Weingut Malat
Michael Malat makes the wines at his family’s estate in Furth-Palt, in Austria’s Kremstal. The cellars have eighteenth-century origins, while the nearby vineyards lie on deep loess, weathered rock and old Danube gravel. Grüner Veltliner and Riesling lead a range that includes reds, traditional-method sparkling wine and skin-fermented wines under the RAW name.
