Mullineux Olerasay No. 2 Solera-Aged Straw Wine 375 mL

$144.99

Baked apricot, honeysuckle and marmalade rise from a deep golden glass, followed by honeyed richness and a gentle nutty edge. The palate is intensely concentrated yet held in balance by vivid acidity, so the natural sweetness feels bright rather than heavy. A long, layered finish carries dried fruit and citrus peel. Serve lightly chilled with hazelnut tart, blue cheese or fruit-based desserts; a small pour is ample.

About Mullineux
Chris and Andrea Mullineux established their Swartland winery in 2007 after working vintages in France, South Africa and California. They focus on old vineyards growing on granite, schist and iron-rich soils. In 2013 they joined Analjit Singh to form Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines. At Roundstone on the Kasteelberg, dry-farmed bush vines grow in deep schist soils. The farming includes cover crops, compost, mulch and corridors of fynbos vegetation. Chenin Blanc, Syrah and Mediterranean grape varieties make up the range.
