About Taittinger
Champagne Taittinger took its modern form in 1932, when Pierre Taittinger and Paul Evêque acquired the Forest-Fourneaux house and Château de la Marquetterie. François Taittinger later established the family name on the house, made Chardonnay central to its style and created Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs in 1952.
In Reims, its chalk cellars lie beneath the Saint-Nicaise hill. Chardonnay remains central to the wines, including blends with Pinot Noir and Meunier.
