Novaripa 2018 Monatic Dark Montepulciano d’Abruzzo

Extremely dark colour shows purple glints. Concentrated black fruit appears with a vegetal note, while the palate has a solid, slightly firm tannic structure. Pressed plum, blackcurrant, cherry jam and milk chocolate are also present. Made entirely from Montepulciano, the wine spent one year in a combination of stainless steel and oak. The vineyards sit around 250 metres above sea level.

About Novaripa
Novaripa traces its roots to 1969, when twenty growers joined forces to create the cooperative cellar at Ripa Teatina. Its Abruzzo vineyards lie between the Adriatic Sea and the Maiella and Gran Sasso mountains. The growers work with varied soils and exposures, and regional grapes including Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Pecorino and Passerina.
