About Castiglion del Bosco
Castiglion del Bosco’s modern wine history includes joining the Brunello di Montalcino Consortium as one of its 25 founding members in 1967. Massimo and Chiara Ferragamo acquired and restored the estate in 2003; ownership transferred to an international family office in 2022, with the Ferragamos remaining involved. At Montalcino, Sangiovese anchors Brunello and the single-vineyard Campo del Drago cru, while related Tenuta Prima Pietra in coastal Riparbella focuses on Bordeaux varieties. The two estates present distinct Tuscan sites within one wine project, preserving each name and origin in the connected catalogue.
