Chardonnay comes exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards on the lower slopes of the Côte des Blancs, where chalk is prominent. The wine is made from a single harvest year and does not undergo malolactic fermentation. Lees maturation lasts for at least eight years. The style is Brut. The vineyards connect the villages of Cramant, Avize and Oger.

About Voirin-Jumel
Voirin-Jumel is a five-generation grower Champagne estate in Cramant, a Grand Cru village in the Côte des Blancs. The name dates to 1968, when the marriage of Gilles Voirin and Françoise Jumel brought two winegrowing families together. Patrick now works with his daughters Julie and Pauline.
The family grows Chardonnay and Pinot Noir on 8.5 hectares spread across 44 parcels in 12 crus. It owns its press and makes all its wines on site.
