Chateau Talbot 2012 Saint-Julien

$279.99

Cassis, blackcurrant and red currant lead a polished aroma, joined by plum, roasted herbs and a restrained tarry note. The palate is juicy and rounded, with soft tannins, fresh acidity and a medium-bodied sense of balance. Cedar, liquorice and spice add savoury depth. The finish is persistent and composed, leaving dark berries, dried herbs and gentle mineral lift.

About Château Talbot
Château Talbot takes its name from the English commander John Talbot, Earl of Shrewsbury. The Saint-Julien estate was named a fourth growth in the 1855 Médoc classification. Désiré Cordier bought it in 1918, and Nancy Bignon-Cordier and her family now oversee the property. The vineyard forms a single 111-hectare block of alluvial gravel near the Gironde. Cabernet Sauvignon leads the grand vin, with Merlot and Petit Verdot completing the blend.
