Château Penin 2024 Cabanes Bordeaux Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc accounts for forty percent of the blend, joined by thirty percent Sauvignon Gris and thirty percent Sémillon. The grapes come from a clay hillside over limestone. Fermentation lasts at least twenty days at fifteen degrees Celsius in concrete eggs, concrete tanks, stainless steel or oak barrels by parcel. Maturation lasts six months on fine lees with regular bâtonnage. Peach, pineapple, fresh fruit and a mineral finish shape the profile.

About Château Penin
Six generations of the Carteyron family have worked the vineyards of Château Penin, with roots stretching back to the mid-1850s. Brothers Antoine and Étienne returned to the vines after first careers elsewhere, bringing experience from business, formal study and cellars in Bordeaux, Bandol and the Rhône. The estate sits at Génissac opposite Saint-Émilion, with vineyards on gravel and clay-limestone soils.
The range includes Bordeaux white, rosé, clairet and red wines, alongside single-variety and Vin de France bottlings. The team adjusts its winemaking and ageing choices to the grapes from each parcel.
