Elian da Ros 2023 Le Vin est Une Fête Côtes du Marmandais
$47.99
Abouriou, Cabernet Franc and Merlot form this red blend. Merlot and Cabernet Franc are destemmed and fermented in vats, while Abouriou is vinified in whole clusters with semi-carbonic maceration. Maturation lasts about ten to twelve months in foudres, older barrels and concrete before slight filtration. Red and dark fruit appear with spice, lively structure and an alcohol level of twelve-and-a-half percent.

About Elian Da Ros
Elian Da Ros grew up on a mixed farm in Cocumont, where his father raised tomatoes, cereals and tobacco alongside vines whose fruit went to the local cooperative. After studying agriculture and wine and spending five years in Alsace, he returned home in 1997 and made his first vintage in 1998.
The estate farms roughly 22 hectares on the Garonne’s left bank, with gravel terraces and clay-limestone soils. Organic farming began in 2000 and biodynamic methods followed in 2002. In the cellar, fermentations start with native yeasts, and the wines age in seasoned barrels and large wooden vats.
