Shelter Point 10 Year Old Estate Canadian Single Malt Whisky

Ripening barley, honey and orange blossom lead the nose, joined by fresh apple and a gentle coastal lift. The palate is creamy and rounded, with nutty malt, vanilla and orchard fruit giving way to a savoury edge. Estate-grown barley provides a clear grain character, while extended maturation brings depth without heaviness. The finish is buttery and lightly saline, carrying dark chocolate, leather, tobacco and lingering oak. Serve neat or add a small measure of water.

About Shelter Point Distillery
Patrick Evans bought an oceanfront farm near Campbell River in 2005 and founded Shelter Point Distillery there in 2011 to make whisky from its barley. The distillery uses British Columbia-grown Canadian two-row barley, slow fermentation and double distillation in Forsyths copper pot stills. Its whisky matures and is bottled at the coastal site on northern Vancouver Island.
