Red berries, blackcurrant and pear lead a generous nose, joined by vanilla, hazelnut, sultana and sweet marzipan. The palate is smooth and velvety, with creamy caramel, fig and delicate frangipane developing into chocolate ganache and a touch of coffee. A Sherrywood Grand Cru finish gives the fruit and confectionary notes their depth. The finish turns drier, with lingering oak tannin balancing the whisky’s polished sweetness.
