Dark cherry and plum lead a generous but controlled profile, joined by black tea, earth, cedar and a discreet note of truffle. The palate is medium to full in body, with silky tannins and fresh acidity carrying the fruit without heaviness. Graphite and dark chocolate deepen the middle. The finish is long and harmonious, returning to plum, savoury earth and polished cedar.

About Château La Fleur-Pétrus
Château La Fleur-Pétrus was named in the eighteenth century for its position across the Pomerol localities of Petrus and La Fleur. Jean-Pierre Moueix acquired it in 1950, the first vineyard purchase made by the Libourne house he had founded in 1937.
Its 18.7 hectares lie on the Pomerol plateau, where gravel and deep clay cover an iron-rich subsoil. Merlot dominates the vineyard, with smaller plantings of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot matched to the different soils.
