Cabernet Franc is made into a light-bodied sparkling wine with no skin contact. Strawberry, raspberry and citrus shape the fresh profile. Production includes hand riddling, disgorging and hand labelling. The fruit comes from Kaleden, on high benches above the western shore of Skaha Lake in British Columbia. The estate farms five acres and focuses on low-intervention, energetic wines.

About Birch Block Vineyard
Murray and Sarah Bancroft planted Birch Block Vineyard in Kaleden in 2016 as a small family-run Pinot Noir project. Dijon Pinot Noir clones grow in sandy-loam soils, with the South Okanagan site’s warm days giving way to cool nights.
The Bancrofts farm without herbicides or synthetic fertilizers and take a low-intervention approach in the cellar. Their first wine, the Endless Summer rosé, was released in spring 2019.
