Dark ruby and violet tones accompany lavender, cranberry and dark berries. The palate is medium-bodied, with dried plum, toasted nuts, cocoa and cardamom. Charcuterie savouriness and spice are also present, while the finish carries macerated fruit.

About Natte Valleij
The lower-Simonsberg farm known as Natte Valleij has a recorded history reaching back to 1715. Natte Valleij passed to the Milner family in 1969; a generation later, Alexander Milner revived its cellar and made his first wine there in 2005.
Milner remains the winemaker, working with old vineyards beyond the farm across the Cape. Cinsault from mature, dry-farmed bush vines is a particular focus, with parcels drawn from different Cape regions. The cellar follows a low-intervention approach.
