The palate is silky and rounded, with sweet dark fruit, earthy spice and understated complexity held in elegant balance. This is fully developed rather than heavy, and ready to enjoy now. Stand upright, decant gently and serve with Stilton, walnuts or dark chocolate.

About Quinta do Noval
Quinta do Noval first appears in land records in 1715. After phylloxera devastated the property, Port shipper António José da Silva bought it in 1894 and replanted the vineyards. His son-in-law Luiz Vasconcelos Porto widened many of the narrow terraces, improving their exposure and making them easier to work.
Noval’s 1931 Vintage Port and Nacional helped establish its international reputation. Nacional comes from a tiny parcel of ungrafted vines within the estate. AXA Millésimes bought Noval in 1993, beginning a period of vineyard renewal; winemaking and ageing were brought together in the Douro in 1997.
