Red and black berries lead with violet, cracked pepper and a faint savoury note. The palate is supple and immediately expressive, carrying ripe fruit over fine tannins and a stony mineral line. Used oak adds quiet shape without obscuring the freshness. The finish is balanced and persistent, leaving blackberry, spice, smoke and a gentle herbal edge.

About Domaine Jamet
Jean-Paul Jamet began making wine with his father, Joseph, in 1976. He built Domaine Jamet with his wife, Corinne, and their son Loïc now works alongside them. The cellar stands at Le Vallin on the plateau above Ampuis.
The vines occupy narrow terraces on abrupt hillsides, rooted mainly in schist with smaller seams of granite. Jean-Paul has long favoured blending wines from Côte-Rôtie's different sites for their complementary characters.
