Antão Vaz, Viosinho and Alvarinho are grown in an organically certified vineyard on clay-loam soils derived from schist. Part of the wine ferments in concrete tulip tanks before four months on fine lees. Straw colour with green tones introduces citrus, orange blossom, grapefruit and papaya. The palate is balanced and vibrant, with an intense body and a persistent finish.

About Esporão
Herdade do Esporão's recorded boundaries date to 1267. José Roquette and Joaquim Bandeira bought the Alentejo property in 1973, and their first wine under the Esporão name came from the 1985 harvest.
Esporão farms its Alentejo vineyards organically, in a region of hot, dry summers and varied soils. A ten-hectare research vineyard planted with 189 grape varieties helps the team study biodiversity and adaptation.
