Japanese citrus brings immediate lift, with yuzu, kabosu, amanatsu and shequasar layered over juniper and a fine peppery note from sansho. The palate is silky and full, reflecting a corn-and-malted-barley base distilled through Nikka’s traditional Coffey stills. Citrus remains vivid through the centre while spice and gentle fruit sweetness give the gin depth without crowding its clean structure. The finish is smooth, lingering and finely aromatic. Serve with tonic, soda or in a precise Martini.

About Nikka Whisky
Nikka Whisky was founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, whose study and distillery training in Scotland informed his ambition to make whisky in Japan. He chose Yoichi in Hokkaido for the first distillery, favouring its cool climate, clean water and coastal setting. Miyagikyo, the second distillery, opened in 1969, adding a softer, more floral malt style for blending.
Coffey stills introduced in the 1960s remain part of Nikka’s production, which extends from malt and blended whisky to gin and vodka.
