Brovia 2021 Roero Arneis
$51.99
Stone fruit and citrus meet a mineral spine in this dry white. Arneis comes from a 0.80-hectare, south-facing sandy vineyard in Vezza d’Alba at about 340 metres. Harvest is manual, followed by brief maceration and fermentation at controlled temperature for two to three weeks. The wine rests in stainless steel until early spring before several months of bottle ageing.

About Brovia
Giacinto Brovia founded the estate in Castiglione Falletto in 1863, beginning a family line of growers and winemakers in the heart of Barolo. Phylloxera, economic disruption and two wars halted production for almost thirty years, until his grandsons Giacinto and Raffaele revived it in 1953.
Today Elena Brovia and her husband, winemaker Alex Sanchez, represent the fourth generation, tending vineyards in Castiglione Falletto and Serralunga d’Alba. They farm organically, without formal certification, and give their Barolos long fermentations, extended ageing in large Slavonian and French oak barrels, and further rest in bottle.
