Arrowleaf Cellars 2023 Pinot Noir

Raspberry, dark cherry, cedar and rose petal combine with leather and earth. The mid-palate is rich, with smooth tannins and a long finish. Fruit came from four Okanagan vineyards in Lake Country and Summerland. Separate batches fermented with different yeast strains. The wine spent nine months in French oak, twenty percent new, before blending and bottling at thirteen-point-eight percent alcohol.

About Arrowleaf Cellars
The Zuppiger family founded Arrowleaf Cellars in 2001 after farming in Switzerland and Alberta and then settling in Lake Country. Before opening their own winery in 2003, they spent five years growing Okanagan grapes while Manuel trained in Switzerland and worked in Australia and British Columbia. The family still runs the winery, with Manuel leading winemaking and his mother and siblings contributing across the business.
Arrowleaf's home vineyard sits on a west-facing slope of gravelly glacial till and sandy loam above Okanagan Lake. Estate fruit is supplemented by long-term growers in Lake Country and Kelowna, giving the cellar access to both cool and warmer sites. The range includes Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Bacchus and Riesling, alongside sparkling and skin-contact wines.
